well off to india on the next holiday on a tiger safari…. http://www.exodus.co.uk/holidays/aiw/overview need new camera body…. seeing as tigers like the dark secluded forest environments I think a Canon 5d is in order due to its good high ISO / low noise capabilities… that’s also a requirement for my astronomy & northern lights greenland trip in september…..

yo and behold…
HD TV in my house. After spending years watching SD TV on my 1080p Bravia, I finally found a way around the SKY HD “pack” £10 a month stich up. turns out if I upgrade to their 20 mb boradband package for £7.50 a month I save £14 a month from my old broadband provider…. so long force9 14 years of good service counts for nothing…so I’m £6.50 a month up….

arrived back in Maun to be greeted by a massive afternoon thunderstorm, then took off in it in a Cessna for a bit of sightseeing….. off home tomorrow
Wild dogs are cool, ran into a pack of 12 !!!!! so’s a herd of 80 + elephants!
had a couple of visitors to the camp overnight a lion and an hyena, stayed in my tent
what can I say abut Savuti, don’t go in the wet season! nothing to do with getting around, the 4x4s cope with that, it that the animals have load of ponds to drink from and so are scattered around. in the dry season they’re forced to drink from the river, that then attracts the predators…..
Elephants, Elephants, Elephants, plus a couple of crocs, a family of mongoose’s, warthogs and two lionesses.
spent morning touring the chobe national park from the land side on the way saw a couple of lionesses siting in the shady side of the tree, trouble was the shady part was the road, got some good photos today. then headed down the savute river and setup bush camp in the rain, went on another game drive and saw some more elephants, giraffe, impala and loads of birds.
Packup early again off to the ferry crossing, got through t the second attempt… and head back to Kasane and setup camp at the thebe campsite.. quick lunch and off to the river trip.
